Is There a Special Volunteer You’d Like Us to Recognize?

Every month, Community Caregivers selects at least one volunteer that deserves a salute for outstanding dedication and service to our clients or our organization (see list of those selected in recent years). All of our volunteers are eligible, and nominations can come from anyone who sees and appreciates at least one of the following characteristics in an individual:

• Carries out assignments with great skill and compassion
• Demonstrates, through actions, a strong commitment to the mission and purpose of Community Caregivers
• Demonstrates a thorough understanding of the volunteer role
• Participates with enthusiasm in volunteer training and/or organizational events
• Serves as an ambassador on behalf of Community Caregivers
• Supports the staff and acts as a key member of the Community Caregivers team
• Demonstrates excellent organizational and communication skills
• Goes beyond expectations

Previous Volunteers of the Month may be nominated again after one year.

If you’d like to suggest someone for this honor, please send an email containing the following information to info@communitycaregivers.org:

• Your name, email address and telephone number
• The volunteer’s name (just send a first name, if that’s all you have)
• A description of the exceptional service provided

Final monthly selections will be made by the Community Caregivers staff.

February		Lois Caulfield, Delmar, who has shopped for clients and provided regular transportation services since 2004. In addition to helping Community Caregivers clients, Lois finds time to lend a hand to other area residents in need.
January		Walter Addicks, Slingerlands, who is our "go-to" guy when clients need lawn mowing or light chores. Walter has served faithfully since 2007 and we appreciate his consistent reporting of time and mileage, too!
