“Volunteers are the only human beings on the face of the earth who reflect this nation’s compassion, unselfish caring, patience, and just plain love for one another.” – Erma Bombeck
Here are typical client service requests that Community Caregivers needs to fill on a regular basis. If you are a current volunteer who would like to help out in a new role or with expanded service, please let us know.
- Respite – A caregiving spouse would welcome a regular respite provider to sit with his wife who has Alzheimer’s while he get some time away.
- Friendly Visitors – Several elderly individuals would welcome a friendly visitor to help fill their days.
- Transportation – The demand for volunteer drivers is ongoing. We are always looking for volunteers to provide transportation – the time commitment is based upon volunteer availability and client need.

“A volunteer is a person who is a light to others, giving witness in a mixed-up age, doing well and willingly the tasks at hand – namely, being aware of another’s needs and doing something about it.” – Author Unknown
