Volunteer Opportunities

“Volunteers are the only human beings on the face of the earth who reflect this nation’s compassion, unselfish caring, patience, and just plain love for one another.” – Erma Bombeck

Here are typical client service requests that Community Caregivers needs to fill on a regular basis. If you are a current volunteer who would like to help out in a new role or with expanded service, please let us know. Due to the pandemic restrictions we currently need reassurance callers as well as volunteers willing to shop for groceries and pick up prescriptions. Transportation is provided for medical appointments only at this time.

  • Respite – A caregiving spouse would welcome a regular respite provider to sit with his wife who has Alzheimer’s while he get some time away.
  • Friendly Visitors – Several elderly individuals would welcome a friendly visitor to help fill their days.
  • Transportation – The demand for volunteer drivers is ongoing. We are always looking for volunteers to provide transportation – the time commitment is based upon volunteer availability and client need.

“A volunteer is a person who is a light to others, giving witness in a mixed-up age, doing well and willingly the tasks at hand – namely, being aware of another’s needs and doing something about it.” – Author Unknown
