Community Caregivers is a mission-driven nonprofit dedicated to helping individuals of all ages live safely and independently in their own homes and communities.
We are seeking to fill the current vacancy for a part-time Program Associate. We offer paid PTO, sick leave and paid holidays in a supportive work environment. Hybrid position with a combination of remote work, office hours after initial onboarding and training; occasional travel within the service area (mileage reimbursement). Flexible schedule based on program needs.

We serve Albany and Rensselaer counties. Our office is in Guilderland, NY.

Part-Time:18 Hours week; $25/hour.

The Program Associate supports the delivery of Community Caregivers’ programs through service coordination, volunteer support, and administrative assistance. This position helps ensure client requests are processed, services are monitored, and program operations run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

Service Coordination & Program Support

• Enter and maintain client service requests, including transportation, grocery shopping, errands, friendly visits, and reassurance calls, within the Mon Ami database.

• Monitor service requests and follow up on outstanding needs or unfilled services.

• Answer incoming calls, complete service request screening forms, and provide information about Community Caregivers’ programs and services.

• Provide office and administrative support, including mailings and other program-related tasks.

• Assist the Program Director with service delivery and other operational needs.

Client Communication

• Provide occasional check-ins and support to assigned clients who need more support.

• Serve as a point of contact for clients regarding services and provide follow-up as needed.

• Help identify additional needs and communicate concerns to appropriate staff. Volunteer Support

• Assist with volunteer recruitment activities, including reference checks and volunteer communications.

• Support volunteer onboarding and orientation as needed.

• Respond to volunteer questions and assist with maintaining positive volunteer engagement.

Qualifications

• Experience in human services, social work, nonprofit programs, or a related field preferred, but not required.

• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively

• Comfortable working in diverse urban and rural settings within Albany and Rensselaer counties

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office;

• Valid NYS driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle (mileage reimbursement provided)

• Successful background check and DMV history required
